"Commanding Red" by Kaylee Grayson

Title: Commanding Red
Author: Kaylee Grayson
Series: Forever Wicked series, #3
Publisher: Changeling Press, LLC
Sub-Genre: Paranormal Romance
Length: 42 pages
Heat Rating: Erotic
Rating: 4.5 Cups

Available at:
Amazon | Changling Press,LLC | ARe | B&N

Blurb:
It should have been just another ordinary stroll through the woods for Red, but when she finds a wounded wolf by the edge of the road, she can't help but stop. Her kind, gentle heart ensures she won't let a creature suffer, no matter how dangerous it is. But healing the animal's wounds has unexpected consequences, and she's shocked as she watches it transform from a vicious beast into a man she once knew.

Jonah isn't sure she shouldn't have just let him die. His curse has turned him into a monster, and his unnatural hunger makes him something less than human. Red is in danger as long as he's around, but he can't bring himself to leave her without teaching her a thing or two about the perils of rescuing strays.

His lessons are erotic, punishing, and intense. But the biggest threat he poses isn't to Red's body... it's to her heart.

Gabrielle's Review:

Kaylee Grayson gives readers a whole new look at Red and her famous cloak with this book. This story takes Red on a different journey. I love fairytales and have always wondered about the what ifs and in this story we get a great what if. Wolves and huntsmen are still enemies but in this world wolves are so much more and Red has found a way to tame her wolf. I enjoyed watching the relationship blossom between Red and her wolf. The emotions are high and the love that the two share is strong. Jonah is so full of love but afraid that he will hurt anyone who is close to him, but Red is more than willing to risk it all on their love. I enjoyed watching Red show Jonah that their love is something worth fighting for. She gives herself over to Jonah fully and willingly and Jonah can do no more than love her even more. He begins this journey with the idea of teaching Red a lesson but it looks as if she is the one with the lesson to teach. This was a wonderful read and great start to a new series. I cannot wait to see how this story will continue.

The weight of his secret longings has been lifted and his desire to begin a relationship full of exploration and submission with a man is within his grasp. All it takes is following Thor’s orders, submitting to Thor’s rules, offering himself up to Thor’s dominance.

Can Bobby truly give over his tightly held onto control to the one man who drives him to his knees? Can Thor look beyond Bobby’s womanizer reputation to the longing for acceptance within?

Find out in, Revealed, the third installment in Lissa Matthews’ Masked series.

Emma's Review:

Revealed is third installment of the Masked series. You need to start at the beginning to truly appreciate this one. It's really a journey rather than serial type story. Thor and Bobby are both in unknown waters and they have both taken risks to be together. This is a great story and so very emotional. The sex is very hot but there's such a connection between the two. There's a sense of realism in the book. The author allows the reader feel all the uncertainty and wonder of Thor and Bobby's first sexual encounter. No perfect Doms or subs, just two people drawn to each other. Great read! When combined with Masked and Unmasked, Revealed tells the a powerful story about love and trust. I hope there are more to come.

A decade on from their first kiss, Luke Murray is more in love with Simon every day. Running the Lost Cow ranch for Luke’s parents, they keep their heads down and get along with the locals, even if Luke is known for being a hothead. Then one day they discover the local store owners refuse to serve them.

They’re bewildered until Luke’s mom tells them the new pastor has targeted the couple in his sermons. Suddenly Luke and Simon find themselves alienated from people they called friends, and their ranch comes under a series of attacks. As the town’s hatred and homophobia turns on them, Luke and Simon will face a critical choice: give in to the town’s demands and disappear, or stand and fight for themselves and their love.

Aine's Review:

Morning Report by Sue Brown is the journey of Luke, the manager of The Lost Cow Ranch, and Simon, his foreman and lover, as they struggle to save their ranch from bigots and homophobes. Luke and Simon met 10 years ago when they became college roommates and after an almost bar fight, ended up lovers. Once they graduated, they both moved to the Lost Cow and have been working and loving together ever since.
The local church in their small community gets a new preacher and from there everything goes down hill. Stores refuse to sell to the men, a dinner refuses service to Simon, their ranch is repeatedly attacked, even their cattle were poisoned. Through it all they fight for their ranch and to protect their loved ones, but it takes a toll on their love and faith in each other after a time.

Having said all that, Morning Report is a H-O-T, loving, powerful read that I absolutely adored. I read this out of order (Complete Faith is book 2 of this series and also a must read!) which I would not suggest because it makes you antsy for certain things to happen and one person in particular to appear, lol.

Sue has woven a wonderful story with hot cowboys, love conquering hate, engaging read. Just remember, iced tea to cool you down as these sexy boys have a bit of D/s to their lovemaking and wow, do they take advantage of each other ev-ery-where!

"Spring into Summer" by Eden Baylee

Title: Spring into Summer

Publisher: Self Published
Sub-Genre: Contemporary Romance
Length: 172 pages
Heat Rating: Erotic
Rating: 4.5 Cups

Available at:

Blurb:
In Spring into Summer, a collection of emotionally-charged erotic novellas, four women explore their sexual limits, marked by love, lust, and loss.

Life for Claire Pelletier is changed forever when she meets a professor who teaches her a most important lesson in "A Season for Everything."

Evelyn Sutton goes in search of a man in "Unlocking the Mystery" and discovers the key to her own heart.

With an open mind, Ava Connors attends a party but wonders if reality can ever live up to her hottest fantasies in "Summer Solstice."

In "The Lottery," Sierra Zhao sacrifices herself to numerous men to help a friend, fully aware of the consequences.

With locations in London, Dublin, Cape Cod, and Bangkok, these four women will seek pleasure to alter their lives and push their sexual boundaries.

Michelle's Review:

Spring into Summer by Eden Baylee is a wonderful collection of four stories that are emotional and beautiful as well as erotic. I thoroughly enjoyed all four stories and give this book a rating of 4.5 out of 5.

Ms. Baylee’s writing is exquisite. These are more than stories, they are experiences. I didn’t just read them, I felt them. Each story is unique but they all share themes of love and intense emotion. The erotic scenes are necessary parts of the story; they don’t feel contrived, but are subtle and smooth.

I found that I was able to relate in some way to each of the women in the four stories. I became instantly attached to the characters and was drawn in to their stories. Claire meets an older professor who changes her life in ways she never dreamed. Evelyn moves into a house where she discovers a mystery that sends her on an adventure that opens her heart. Ava was left at the altar and closed herself off to life, but when she attends her friends’ party she experiences a wild night of fantasy. While traveling in Bangkok, Sierra goes to great lengths to help a friend and gets more than she bargained for. All of these women had their hearts and minds opened in some way.

These are stories of love, loss, healing and self-discovery. Each time I finished a story I couldn’t wait to dive right into the next adventure. All of the stories are fast-paced and pulled me in right away. Although each story is unique and they are not connected, there is a nice flow to the collection and central themes tie everything together very nicely. This is a follow-up to her other book Fall into Winter, which I haven’t read yet, but it’s definitely on my wish list now.

"Cupid Christmas" by Lex Valentine

Blurb:
It’s another Christmas at Forbes Ranch and this year the family is playing Cupid with Grayson and Jared’s best friend Steve Yarrow. Years before, Steve’s heart was broken by the love of his life Dalton Emory who left him to further his career by marrying a woman with a rich daddy. Now, divorced, outed and publicly humiliated, Dalton is trying to build a business and keep a low profile. He doesn’t believe he deserves a second chance with Steve after the way he hurt him. However, Dalton didn’t reckon with his former lover’s interfering friends, the depth of Steve’s love nor the forgiveness the spirit of Christmas can offer. Can one lonely, broken cowboy forgive himself and accept the love that has always belonged to him? And will the Forbes tradition of Christmas Eve Happily Ever Afters give Steve and Dalton the future they never thought they’d have?

Gabrielle's Review:

Dalton and Steve have a rocky past. Young and inexperienced they both come together for some fun and when Dalton throws it all away for money he soon finds that his relationship with Steve was so much more than just fun. Little does he realize that Steve has been harboring feelings all these years for him as well. This Christmas their good friends decide that they want the two men to find the love and trust that they lost so many years ago.

Cupid Christmas brings us a wonderful story full of emotions. I was immersed in Dalton and Steve’s story right from the start. The love that the men share is strong. Steve fights for it but Dalton must get past his mistakes and self-loathing or he just might loose the love that he longs for. I enjoyed watching the two men reconnect and fight for their love. Seeing Dalton come back from the brink with the help of Steve made for a nice read. Lex Valentine does a wonderful job of bringing the characters and their world to life. I loved this visit to the Forbes Ranch and hope that I get to come back again.

One week in paradise will make or break them…

Wickedly sexy James Bowen is a bad boy of the highest order -- tattoos and attitude included -- which unfortunately ranks way up on Tate’s not-a-chance-in-hell list, right there along with skydiving naked over Teheran and juggling Ebola vials just for kicks. But what the heck, she’s on holiday, the guy is absolutely irresistible, and she needs to unplug from her life. With her dad and brother gone, Tate is left to deal with the family restaurant, which is fast going down the drain. Her employees are acting out, her boyfriend has bailed out, and her very own private stalker is emailing her to death with lovely threats of doom, fire, and dismemberment. So yeah, maybe a little holiday fling is in order. Strictly sex though, and no follow-up whatsoever once home.

She hadn’t counted on her take-charge holiday fling having an opinion of his own and stubbornly sticking around, before and after the sex, making himself at home in her life. There is definitely more to James than meets her prejudiced eye, and even if she's not ready to look deeper, James isn't prepared to permit her not to.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content and graphic language.

Denise's Review:

I really enjoyed More Than Meets the Ink.

The book tells the story of James and Tate. They meet when she is visiting her Mom and he is Dad in a senior community in Florida. Tate's makes it clear from their first interactions that she plans to judge a book by its cover, in this case write James off as a bad boy because of his tattoos ( hence the book name)

Some of the scenes at the retirement communtiy are too funny....James interacting with the older ladies is so cute and there is some banter with James and his Dad on the golf course that is hysterical .

Tate and James engage in some fun and witty banter before agreeing to sex only. Though it becomes clear to both early on that what they are experiencing they have never felt for others.

James comes to terms with his feeling very early on and realizes that given a recent loss in Tate's life she is going to fight her feelings at every turn. Couple the traumatic loss with the fact that the last man Tate confidenced in called her needy and walked out of her life when she needed him most and you quickly see why Tate is scared to death by her feelings for James.

James is willing to take on the challenge of proving to Tate that he is there for, that she can rely on, him, that she can trust him.

James is sexy, hot, engaging and when he calls Tate "Princess" your heart will melt. What do you see why he calls her that ;)

The sex scenes between James and Tate are very hot, James is vocal about loving her body and wanting her to be pleased.

More Than Meets the Ink was a delightful read.

The plot kept me engaged and what kept me reading was the hot sex and the hope that Tate would realize how wonderful James was.

Off to read Heavy Issues, a book about Cole, James brother, I hope this brother is just as yummy!

Denise's Review:

I tried a few things after Fifty... but the Realtors Series by Liz Crowe was the one thing I found that was a captivating! The relationship between Jack and Sara will draw you in... and ladies Sara is a successful women with her own career, watching her interact with Jack (an alpha male) is powerful. The other characters in the book are developed over the series, it is enjoyable to watch them all interact.

Blurb:
To Viking warrior Magnus, marriage is naught but a contract, a bargain between men for land and title. Lust, love—he scorns such notions as weak and unmanly. But three days before he’s to wed a highland princess, he falls into the maelstrom of a maid’s startled eyes. Their passionate tryst has him rethinking his notions, and he struggles to find a way to keep the beguiling Deidra while honoring the marriage contract he’s arranged with the father of his betrothed.

Deidra cannot take a walk in the forest without finding a wounded dove. Devoted to her menagerie of injured bears, peacocks, and wolves, she vows to disobey her Da when he betroths her to the Norse warrior known as the Destroyer. Until, disguised as a maid, she’s rescued from a would-be rapist by the Destroyer himself. How can any call him ugly or cruel? For he treats her as if she is made of spun glass, and teaches her the magikal pleasures of the flesh.

But Magnus is furious when he learns the woman he’s fallen so deeply for is none other than his betrothed. For there’s nothing he despises more than a deceitful female...except, perhaps, two of them...

Emma's Review:
Magnus is on his way to meet his betrothed when he saves a maid from a lecherous attack. He's beguiled by the woman but destined for another. Deidre has no wish to marry the man known as 'The Destroyer'. She is drawn to forest and its creatures. To avoid the marriage she dons a disguise and leaves the safety of her family. Rescued by a huge scarred warrior, Deidre is drawn in by his sensuality and gentleness. But now she fears what will happen when the warrior discovers that she is his bride.

Despite it's ominous title The Destroyer, this is fun, fanciful and sexy read. I love Magnus and found his vulnerability concerning his size and scars very endearing. I'm not sure I've ever taken to a character as quickly and completely as I did to Deidre/Daisy. Without a lick of caution or guile, she's just a breath of fresh air. And while the entire story is much more fantasy than fact, it is delightfully entertaining. Raw sensuality jumps from the pages when Magnus and Deidre come together. The animal scenes are sweet and add a touch of humor. I highly recommend the entire series and I do hope there are more stories to come. (Fiona could really use a man).

Nailah Madsen is at a crossroad in her life. Having quit a lucrative banking job, she is looking for a better opportunity when fate throws a kink in her plan. Disappointed by a setback, she is not in the mood when a gang of bikers called the Demons roll through the streets where she is walking. One of the bikes nearly clips her and she responds with a foolhardy gesture that puts her in their sights. Unfortunately for her, the Demons do take prisoners and she finds herself snatched off the streets by one of the gang members.

Eric McIntyre aka Dele Larson, is new to the Demons. Unknown to the gang, he is an undercover cop looking to get info on some bodies discovered in the Mojave Desert. The police suspect that the gang is responsible for the murders as well as other criminal enterprises. When Dele is forced by the gang leader to take the attractive woman prisoner, he has to play his hand deftly. But how can he keep her safe without blowing his cover? And how can he keep his growing feelings for her in check?

Emma205's Review:
Snatched is a nonstop thrill ride from the moment Nailah beans the biker in the head with a barbecued rib. She pisses off the wrong people. The biker grabs her in broad daylight. A terrifying ordeal has just begun. Dele can't believe the woman hit him with a rib. He would ignore it but the leader of the Demons won't. With no time or options, he takes the woman. He just hopes she's strong enough to face what's coming. Although Dele(Eric) is actually an undercover cop, he's in deep cover and has no way out. Nailah will have to trust him without knowing the truth. Dele will try to keep her safe but both their lives will be forfeit if he doesn't play his part and, maybe, even if he does.

This was one of the most exciting books I've read in some time. The characters are fascinating. The biker atmosphere felt disgustingly real. It was very creepy at times. An overlying thread of tension permeates the entire story. The action grabs you from the start and continues until the explosive ending. I was concerned that the physical relationship between Dele and Nailah would feel fake and forced, but it doesn't. The author gives us something moving and believable. Great plot, nice writing and very engaging characters make this story a winner. I read it one sitting, I just had to know how it ended. Highly recommended!

"Saint's Curse: Luke" by Lee Brazil

Luke Leveraux hates seeing suspicion darken Jeremy St. James's eyes when he leaves for his monthly hunting trip, but some secrets just can't be shared.

On the surface artist Luke Leveraux has it all: money, a fantastic historical home, talent. When his boyfriend Jeremy moves in, his life should have been perfect. But Luke's hunting expeditions are a cover for something much darker, and he doesn't dare expose his lover to this unpredictable side of his life.

Art teacher Jeremy St. James has always known about his lover's hunting trips. He just expected that they would stop when he moved in with Luke. Or, at the very least, that he might be included in the monthly excursions.

Someone else knows Luke's secret, though. Someone determined to put an end to the situation.

Mvasquez's Review:
Saint's Curse by Lee Brazil is a thrilling erotic romance about a man with a deep dark secret that could cost him the man he loves.

It took Jeremy St. James three months of staring at Luke Leveraux from across the bar before he finally made a move. Now, months later he has moved in with Luke. They have fallen into a comfortable routine and for the most part Jeremy is blissfully happy. The only problem has to do with Luke's monthly hunting trips. Jeremy knew about these trips, which have been going on even before they met, but he assumed they would stop after they moved in together. At the very least Jeremy would expect to be invited to join Luke on one of his trips, but the trips continue and Jeremy is never invited. When his suspicions begin to consume him, Jeremy decides to surprise Luke at the cabin and find out the truth about these trips once and for all.

I very highly recommend this book and give it 4.5 stars! The writing is outstanding, with a captivating story and wonderful characters. When I picked up this book, I originally planned to just get started on it. I was going to read a couple of chapters and then finish later, but it didn't work out that way. As soon as I started, I was completely hooked and I read the entire book in one sitting.

This fast-paced story is refreshingly unique. There is a bit of a paranormal twist to the story, but it's a little different from the norm. For me it was a very pleasant surprise because it's not your typical paranormal story of this type. There's action, mystery, and a touch of suspense, as well as tender romance and sizzling hot passion. The heat level is pretty high, but the erotic aspects are complimentary to the story. I enjoy erotic romance, but I want a well-written story. The characters are so real and I loved both Jeremy and Luke, and I was rooting for them. It's a fairly short story, but it took me on a crazy emotional roller coaster ride. I truly loved this story from start to finish and I find myself hoping that perhaps it might be the start of a series.

Shannon Fabray is a sculpture artist and her love of the pure masculine body is demonstrated in every work of aesthetic art she creates. But her passion for the body doesn't extend into her personal life after a hellish experience in college left her with nowhere to turn but her work. After several criticisms about the lack of passion in her sculptures, Shannon is determined to face her fears and take desire by the balls. A one-night stand should do the trick.

2nd Lt. Brody Essex is an active duty Marine with one goal: come home, get rested, go back. Brody isn’t interested in a date arranged through Madame Eve’s 1Night Stand service like the rest of his friends from the Corps have had, but he doesn’t hesitate to fill in for a Brother who can’t go on his own.

The last thing either Shannon or Brody expect is a wondrous, soul deep connection, but is the spark of lust enough to bring the two loners in from the cold?

Molly's Review:
Heather Long is back and as good as ever with her 1NS series, Always A Marine. This series is a wonderful one filled with amazing characters that make returns, if even for a small part, in each installment. It leaves the reader happy to see them again, along with each new story.

In Her Marine, Ms. Long takes us back to Mike's Place, and introduces us to Brody Essex. He's an active duty Marine set home to recuperate. Trouble is, he wants to go back and face the war front again. It's where he's the happiest. And he certainly isn't up for a 1Night Stand through Madame Eve's service. But, as with the previous Brothers-In-Arms, he knows he must. So, he agrees. What he finds, though, is definitely not what he expected!

Shannon Fabray is a sculptist with a lace of passion. With a past experience gone sour, she's thrown herself into her work but it's not what it could be. Sure, it's good, but it's lacking something. Shannon embraces her fear and signs up for Madame Eve's services. But, what she finds, is totally unexpected. She's found her Marine.....and one night will never be enough.

Again, this is a wonderful short story perfect for any lunch time read, or that just-before-bedtime story. It's filled with hot, sexy passion, two characters that fill your heart and plot line that comes to life. My one complaint? I want another Always A Marine story now! This is one series that could go on and on, and I'd never tire of it. Fantastic job, once again, Ms. Long!

But in the morning, while Leah’s on a shopping expedition in the streets of Pattaya, the slave traffickers spring their trap. Thrown into a dark and dangerous nightmare, Leah is held captive by a sadistic master, tortured and controlled against a backdrop of magnificent wealth and opulence.

Determined to get to the bottom of Leah’s disappearance, Devin finds himself up against dangerous forces that have a vested interest in making sure he fails. But Devin, with determination and connections of his own, will stop at nothing to save the woman he loves.

Sam's Review:
Sold into Slavery was a very interesting concept and as far as I'm concerned it did not disappoint.

The storyline is Leah Jacobs who is an American spending her vacation in Thailand. On her trip she meets Devlin Lyons. They spend a night together exploring their love of BDSM. The couple plan to meet again on the following evening. Leah leaves to go shopping and her nightmare begins. She is taken by sex slave traffickers. When she disappears, Devlin won't accept she's gone and goes out of his way to find her.

This is a very short story but one that will stay with me for some time. Claire Thompson made Sold into Slavery a really intense and thoroughly enjoyable read.

I found myself gasping when Leah was taken and then the situations she was in during her captive time. I like the way it showed her inner fight against what was happening to her. This helped with the strengthening of her character and the connection she felt with Devlin. No matter what happened, she knew he was going to come for her.

If you want to read something different that will make you nervous, angry and in places happy, then this is the book for you.

I thoroughly enjoyed this well written piece.

She needs to get out of there, fast.

Eighteen years ago, Jack Radigan took Carrie Moore’s virginity—then broke her heart by marrying her best friend. Now Carrie’s Nana has died, forcing her back to Rhode Island, where she’s trying to sell off Nana’s estate before she runs into him. But Nana had a dog not even her lawyer knew about, and it appears Carrie’s plan is doomed. Because the Irish wolfhound seems to have an agenda all her own, and it involves making Carrie deal with Jack—the town’s animal control officer— on a daily basis. The havoc the beast wreaks is costing Carrie a fortune. Hopefully, it won’t cost the last whole bits of her heart, too.

Jack married Becky…but he didn’t love her.

She was pregnant and he needed to be a father to the child. Now, Becky’s gone, and Carrie’s back home. So when her dog runs amok in their town of Narragansett, it’s his job to get the animal under control. But first, he has to control his desire to kiss Carrie, the woman he was meant to marry many years before.

Sam's Review:
I wanted the dog. It was huge and caused a lot of chaos but I found her adorable.

Eighteen years has passed since Jack Radigan took Carrie Moore’s virginity and then married her best friend. The only reason Carrie is back in Rhode Island is to settle her Nana’s affairs. She wants to get everything done quickly so she doesn’t have the threat of bumping into Jack. However, she never expected to be in charge of a large dog intent of creating destruction and bringing Jack back into her life. During the course of her stay she learns a few hard truths about the past. Can Carrie and Jack move on?

I really enjoyed this story. Jack and Carrie are really well written and the story line is solid. I personally love tales of old high-school romances coming together and this book did not disappoint.

I only wish there could have been more explained or at least a few scenes of Jack and Becky together to really show the friendship and the struggle they had together. That is just my personal opinion otherwise this story is wonderful and I found myself laughing at the dog. She’s adorable.

Lucky certainly lives up to his name. Once the fat kid in school, he's all grown up and taking prisoners, literally. He's the town sheriff and delights in handcuffing idiots. Most people barely recognize him being the fit and trim man he is now.

Lana, pregnant and alone, flees her abusive ex-husband and seeks refuge with her father in her hometown. She doesn't expect to meet a handsome man at a get-together and fall head over heels. Of course, she can't trust herself when it comes to men and she certainly doesn't trust Lucky.

Then Lana finds out who Lucky really is - the fat kid whose invitation she turned down for her senior prom. Fat Jack has now grown into a man that makes her burn inside. He even has a new name. Ashamed of the way she treated him in the past, she tries to walk away, but there's something that pulls her back to him.

Is it the fact that Lucky can protect her from her ex-husband or can love really conquer all?

Tsteinerid's Review:
What a sweet story!!

Jack was a young man who was crushed when the girl he loved turned him down the only time he tried to ask her out in high school. She moved on and away, never looking back. Now Jack is Lucky and he is the sexy hot sheriff in the town he grew up in and loves. From the moment he sees Lana, all he can think about how is how it might finally be time for a little pay back for all the humiliation he suffered growing up. But can this hometown boy follow through?

Lana was one of the popular girls in her small town. Moving through the high school halls never knowing what she was leaving in her wake. Not a cruel girl at heart, just at times clueless. She never expected that falling in love and marrying her high school sweetheart would be the worst mistake of her life. Now she is divorced but pregnant. She has returned home to rebuild her life for her child. She has no plans to fall in love again. Once was enough to last a lifetime.

You could almost see the sparks shooting off the pages when these two meet up again. At times I was rooting for Lucky to get his revenge and at other times I was thinking - oh come on guys get it together! I had moments of sweet awe and joy and then disappointment and sadness, but mostly this story just felt right in my heart. I enjoyed the supporting characters just as much as I loved Lucky and Lana. This is a real feel good story.

I really should not like this story. If I thought about it and dug deep, it is a love story initially based on how one looks and not what is inside. Lana didn’t notice Lucky until he was fit and trim. She does look back and realizes that what she did was wrong and knew at the time it was wrong too, but teens can be cruel and popularity important. That is just the thin surface of this novel. Don’t over analyze it, just read it. There is so much more to Lucky for Her, and I’m glad I continued to read their story.

My pdf review copy did have some editing errors, but they were minor and that was the only reason it didn’t get a 5 star rating. Lucky for Her is a wonderful story of love, forgiveness and happily ever after. I can see myself coming back and rereading it again and again. Great job Ms. Taylor!

Mia longs for the daily torture to end, but one last task keeps her holding on. In a betrayal of the crime lord who pulled her from the gutter, she’ll free the shipment of human cargo, and if she’s lucky, die in the process. The alternative is unfathomable, even to a woman well-versed in erotic torture. But luck abandons her yet again when she meets the security expert in charge of the shipment and finds herself face to face with her childhood crush. The man she once begged for help. The man who failed her.

Tyler Martinez is an undercover FBI agent with one chance to right the wrongs of his past. Thrust deep into the seedy world of human trafficking, he must put aside his guilt over abandoning Mia all those years ago in order to save her now.

Someone’s pulling the strings in this sadistic play on trust, but Tyler and Mia may not live long enough to see the curtain fall. Trust in Me is a story of erotic pain and incipient romance, spiraling ever faster toward betrayal or redemption.

WARNING: This book contains explicit scenes of dubious consent, graphic violence and sex. It also depicts abuse and captivity situations. Not appropriate for anyone uncomfortable with these situations or anyone under the age of eighteen. This is a work of fiction.

Sam's Review:
Be warned, Trust in Me is not for the faint of heart.

Mia considers herself a whore. A woman who’s stumbled into the human trafficking and considers herself lucky to have a one man owner. Her master demands everything from her and passes her around whenever it suits him. She wants to break him and if she dies in the process she considers it a bonus until Tyler Martinez enters the scene. This is the first guy she had a crush on before her life was turned upside down.

I don’t want to spoil anymore of the plot but I will say once you start you’re going to struggle to put it down. Even when parts make you a little uncomfortable, you still have to keep reading to see what happens next. Skye Warren has created a roller coaster ride of emotions that leaves nothing to the imagination. This is a hard hitting story told through the eyes of Mia. At times it’s scary and makes you feel as if you’re with her during the story.

Certainly a well written piece and one that will stay with you.

Catherine is having the best sex of her life, opening herself to a surprising new realm of pleasure. And Dean unexpectedly starts to feel he’s met his match…maybe even his soul mate. When they both want more, it gets complicated. Is it game over—or are things just heating up...?

Sam's Review:
Anne Rainey has done it again and created a wonderful story with love, intrigue and lots of hot steamy sex.

This story picks up where Pleasure Bound finished with Gracie finding out she had a sister. Catherine has been told she was adopted and sets out to find the sister she never knew about. When she goes to meet her sister she encounters the Harrison family and in particular one handsome twin, Dean. He doesn’t believe Catherine is who she says she is but he can’t deny the attraction he feels for her. Catherine doesn’t know how to convince him she’s innocent and only wants a sister. Dean however acts on his instincts while he sets out to woo Catherine.

Naked Games is a brilliant story with an enthralling plot and wonderfully worked characters. Nothing is over rated and the twists and turns work well through the development of the story. The intimacy isn’t over done and is believable between Catherine and Dean, as well as their banter. I think Anne Rainey is a talented author and her recent release proves this.

I would highly recommend this read.

Gay suspense author Logan Moore fell in love with the most perfect gay man ever during his freshman year in college. But his roommate and best friend Chase Courtland never showed an interest in him. Twelve years and a handful of failed relationships later, Logan acknowledges that he still loves Chase. When Chase puts on a designer dress, four-inch heels and a wig and transforms himself into Joan Collins for a Valentine's Day masquerade party, Logan's libido rockets out of control. One look at Chase's perfect ass in the skin tight dress and Logan is ready to drag him off to bed. But can two best friends bridge the gap of a dozen years of denial and build a life together after one amazing night of revelations, confessions and love?

Meingee's Review:
Logan and Chase have been best friends since they met many years ago. Both men have hid their true feelings for each other for twelve years. When Chase finally reaches the end of his rope he decides to bite the bullet and show Logan just how much he cares for him. Now if only Logan can admit his feelings as well. Can the two men find love and their happy ever after or is it too late?

When I pick up a book by this author I know that I am in for a great ride. This story is full of emotions and the love that the two men feel is so strong it is almost a tangible thing. Chase puts his heart on the line and serves it up to Logan on a platter and can only hope that Logan does not refuse it. I loved both Logan and Chase and would be hard pressed to pick just one of them. Logan and Chase are both great men who finally get a taste of what they have been longing for all these years and each man is more than willing to fight for the love that they have found. I enjoyed watching both men find their way to each other and their happy ever after. I loved seeing the romance bloom and the trust between them strengthen. We get a wonderful romance as well as one hot read with this book. The men come vividly to life as we see the depth of their friendship and how it becomes much more making this a book that should be in everyone’s library.

When Lia Constantine’s father dies suddenly, she’s shocked to discover he’s left casino debts totaling more than one million dollars. Unless she sells the family home, making herself homeless, she cannot repay the debt.

Under difficult circumstances, self-made billionaire Jake Benetti, owner of the Arabian Nights Casino, meets the incredibly beautiful Lia Constantine for the first time. As soon as he sees her, he knows she holds the key to unlocking his broken heart. He cannot allow this highly alluring woman to slip through his fingers. Caught between the past and the future, he makes her an offer she simply can’t refuse—until Lia repays her father’s gambling debts, he owns her, mind, body, and soul.

Lia is into the BDSM lifestyle as much as Jake is, but with their D/s relationship beginning to blossom, will the money drive a wedge between them? Can they ever find happiness together?

Sam's Review:
This has some really great BDSM scene that will have you melting.

Lia Constantine doesn’t know why casino owner Jake Benetti wants to talk to her. When she’s kidnapped and taken to his casino she soon enters in a nightmare with no positive way out. Jake is intrigued by the daughter of one of his deceased clients. However Lia’s father has mounted up debt within his casino and he needs to get it back.

Jake is a pure dominant but with respect for woman and Lia has caught his eye. I love the description of the way he feels for her and how the emotion develops within him. He’s kind and strong and I loved his alpha male that really came through. Lia is a strong woman as well as a submissive. I liked the difference in her character when she’s with Jake in the sexual sense and the everyday routine.

This is a wonderful story that is wonderful written and not at all predictable. I would recommend this read for anyone who enjoys the BDSM books with a touching romance that shows a build up.

Excellent reading.

When Micah Beaumont left Chicago for New Orleans, no longer comfortable as a third wheel in his ménage relationship with Mistress Olivia and her sub, Jude, he used his promotion as the excuse to leave. He fled not wanting his Mistress nor Jude to know the real reason. Mistress Olivia had made it clear from the beginning he was nothing more than a play sub. At first he’d been fine with the idea but after watching his Mistress fall in love with Jude, he realized wants to be collared by Olivia too, but knows it will never happen she had Jude.

Three months later, he’s settled into his new life in New Orleans. At the height of Mardi Gras, in desperation, he goes home with the wrong Domme in an attempt to forget. The next morning finds him tossed out of car at the entrance to a local hospital barely breathing. When he awakens in the hospital, he’s horrified to find both his former Mistress and friend at his bedside. His horror turns into misplaced anger when Olivia calmly announces that its time to come home. How can he return when he’s not sure if he can ever submit to her again and if he does how does he go back to being nothing more than their third?

Meingee's Review:
This is a wonderful continuation of the story of Olivia and her men. In this book we get to see what happens to Micah after he leaves Olivia and Jude. Micah believes that he is the third wheel in their relationship and finds himself in the hands of the wrong Domme and her sadistic submissive. The abuse that Micah suffers threatens to damage him forever but Jude and Olivia refuse to let him go and with the help of friends and family they will bring Micah back home with them and show him the love that he deserves.

Once again this author brings us a hot story full of emotions. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this whole book. I love the relationship that these three have formed. They love each other so much and are more than willing to fight for each other no matter what the costs. I also loved revisiting with past characters and seeing everyone join together like a family. Even Jude’s old ranger friend and his daughter have a special place in this book. We see this as everyone bands together to help Olivia and Jude protect and help Micah. As the three try to figure out just where their relationship can go from here they must also find out just whom the Domme is that abused Micah and why she is so fixated on him. Olivia and Jude will stop at nothing to show Micah he is loved and wanted. Earning his trust back may be a battle but it is worth everything to them. Their relationship is not full without Micah and they show him that with every fiber of their beings.

The characters in this book come vividly to life making this book is an intense and emotional read that should be in everyone’s library.

On the brink of recovering her strength and independence, she wants nothing to do with a relationship. But Rick Steele does more than rock her body…he rocks her heart. Tara has to make a choice, but is she ready to get caught?

Tsteinerid's Review:
Catch Me is the little story that did.

· It did make me love Rick and Tara.

· It did capture my heart.

· It did break out of the normal 1NS mold and gave a little bit more.

· It did make me love the 1NS series even more.

Rick is pure alpha male with a heart. He is dominate, strong, loving and yet still tender. He never expected to trust again, but from the moment he sees Tara, then later when he feels her pain, all he can do is open his heart to her.

Tara is determined to be independent and to rediscover herself. Next on her list of self improvement is to get past her insecurities regarding sex. In enters Rick, as she simply puts it, is sex-on-a-stick. He is so far out of her reach, he is in the ozone. Though she is ready to high tail it out of there, Rick will not have any of it. His next goal in life is to make Tara see what he sees; even if it takes more than one night.

Their night of passion is sweet yet hot. Their emotions, fears and passion were wonderfully written, and this short story delivered quite a punch.

One little timeline problem for me bumped it out of the top spot, but not out of my heart. If I could give this a 4.9, I would.

Catch Me is another great addition to this collection. This is an hour or so well spent and shouldn’t be missed! Join me and fall in love with Rick and Tara.
