Sam's Review:
Virgins Behaving Badly is a nine author anthology, and each short story offers the reader a little something different.

Little Miss Frigid Knickers by Doris O’Connor- I felt sorry for the main lead in this as Summer is tricked into attending the local BDSM club by some of her fellow work mates. When she's there she encounters James who is a fellow colleague and the owner of the club. I loved the sexual attraction between James and Summer and the way he stakes his claim on her. Doris O'Connor turns up the heat in this spicy short story that doesn't fail to real you in.

Be My First by Angelina Rain- Emily promised her virginity to her fiancé on the night of their wedding, however, when she walks in on him doing his secretary she flees to live with her sister. Her sister is adventurous and open and when an invitation to a sex party turns up, Emily goes in stead. This story was super hot and very addictive. I found I didn't want it to end. Thoroughly enjoyable.

The Siren Call by Melissa Hosack- I found this a lovely story based similarly on, The Little Mermaid tale. I felt Melissa Hosack put a nice knew spin on the theme and I loved the way she held me captivated by the changing emotions throughout from the main character of Kali.

Educating Sean by Carolyn Rosewood- This story was a lovely surprise within the story where most of virgins had been women. Carolyn Rosewood took us on a journey between three friends that was intriguing and believable. Educating Sean was a wonderful addition to this anthology.

Mutual Drive by Giselle Renarde- A wonderful cougar story, the Virgins anthology was really packing many varieties on the theme and Giselle Renarde story works wonders. Lindy watches the young man next door working in the yard. They meet and the chemistry is smoking hot between them. I loved the exploration that both characters experienced. This was not a one sided relationship but both had something to bring.

Her Seduction by Alyssa Fox- Bailey and Laura are wonderful characters that really spice up the action. This felt like a really short story compared to the other books and I wanted more with them. Alyssa Fox really makes the characters come to life.

Hawk’s Woman by Lorraine Nelson- I couldn't help but smile at this story. Tabitha has no clue to the job she's accepted from Hawk. And the relationship between these two are charming and sweet.

The Virgin—Aptly Named by Raven McAllan-I wanted to be at centre stage on this one. Raven McAllan made me blush and weep for the visual display of hotness she described. Ginny was in for a right treat and the characters are really well described and the story amazing.

Lucinda’ Song by Stacey Espino- This is the final story in a wonderful, charming and at times, funny anthology. This is a very hot and sexy menage tale with a wickedly tempting nymph and her two guards. I felt this story ended the anthology wonderfully as it contained the romance and the erotic element perfectly.

Overall, this is a wonderful, charming and thoroughly endearing book of stories. You get a taste of nine authors who each have something magical to offer.

Katie Thomas has been living a secret life for four years to keep safe. She’s scared and not sure what to do, until she moves next door to fellow doctor, Chad Davis. One sizzling night together has her yearning for more, but what he wants in the bedroom is a threat to everything she’s ever believed.

Chad Davis has always had a thing for the sexy doctor. Assigned to protect Katie, he is determined to bring down her ex. His reasons are personal, but one erotic night together in his bed is all it takes for his priorities to shift. He is not giving her up, no matter how much she insists she is not right for him.

Can Chad help Katie unlock her hidden desires and prove to her she means more to him than a fling?

Review:
Protection never came any hotter!
Katie has a psychotic ex-lover hot on her trail.  She has moved on in her life, but never to the fullest.  She believes she will never trust and love again, not after the hellish relationship she barely escaped from four years ago.
Unknown to Katie, she has had a silent protector.  She has always known that her two overbearing but loving brothers were only a phone call away, but she never knew about Chad Davis.  Her co-worker was hired by her brothers to watch out for her, though he would have personally have done it for free.  He has secrets of his own.  His desire for Katie isn’t the only thing he is hiding.
As the danger rises, these two people find solace in each other’s arms, but time is running out and things are getting more dangerous.  These two must work together both in and out of the bedroom, but one miscalculation can ruin it all.
Though you know who the bad guy is, you can still feel the tension and suspense.  Ms. Fox writes hot and steamy sex scenes and fast and furious action sequences.  Their passion was burning up the pages and I couldn’t put the book down.  These two damaged people are perfect for each other and their journey to happiness is riddled with road blocks.  When their greatest hurdle was in front of them, it broke my heart.  I was elated when they found each other again, but I wish more would have gone into the eventual reconciliation.  Ms. Fox kept me on pins and needles the whole time.  Page after page, Bound to Protect had me engaged, from the blazing sex to the heart pounding suspense.
Bound to Protect is an enjoyable sensual quick read.  This contemporary book hit all the right spots for me and I look forward to reading other novels by Alyssa Fox in the future.

Dr. Erin Miller’s life was going great; for the most part, anyway. She was single, had a career she loved, and a cherished circle of friends, but something was missing. When a mentorship with the Chief Pediatric Surgeon becomes available, she couldn’t be more thrilled. Maybe this is just what the doctor ordered! That is, until the handsome and charismatic Dr. Kyle Reynolds decides he wants the mentorship as well.

Kyle Reynolds has lost everything including his wife and daughter. With nothing left in his life except for his job, he sets his sights on the new mentorship position with single-minded determination. The only obstacle he faces is the sexy Dr. Erin Miller

Review:
Two brilliant doctors vying for the same coveted position. Problem is…they are going to be not only fighting for the position, but also their hearts.

Dr. Erin Miller is smart, determined, goal oriented and one of the most brilliant surgical residents on staff. Her dream has always been to work with children and now she has a chance to achieve that goal. Her only obstacle is Dr. Kyle Reynolds. Our first description of him is priceless, “God, could his scrubs hug his body any tighter?”

Kyle lives every day for his job. With nothing else in his life, he only wants to be the best he can be. After losing his daughter, he is bound and determined to never allow another parent feel what he felt when he lost his little girl. He is an arrogant, but amazing surgeon. He is a perfect candidate for the job.

Erin and Kyle have been at the same hospital from the beginning, starting their internship at the same time. They had chemistry right from the start, but circumstances got in the way and now they have the position for mentorship with a predominate surgeon as an barrier too. Ms. Fox didn’t play that obvious angle in the plot; it was more of a starting point for them. As their attraction grew the job actually took a whole different angle all together. I enjoyed how she tackled their troubles and made Erin and Kyle seem like real people with real problems. I fell in love with them right from the beginning.

I really should mark my rating down to say 4.5 cups, but I can’t. I have two reasons; one problem is there is something that happened between the lovers that was never resolved. Normally that wouldn’t be a concern for me if it wasn’t continually brought up. It was addressed right at the end of the book and a then a few pages later the story was done. Poof – that was it no answers or closure! It would have been better not to blatantly shine a light on it and then just drop it. My second problem is obvious editing errors. They were not major, just correctly spelled words that were not right for their context. One example is the use of trusted instead of thrusted. Believe me “trusted” wasn’t the proper word. But according to Word, thrusted is a misspelled word, so that could have been the problem.

I enjoyed the novel too much to even allow those two points to deter me from giving it a rating of 5 Cups. I totally enjoyed every sentence. There was realism, tenderness and believability. Road to Recovery is an exceptionally well written contemporary romance novel.
