After her father’s death at the Battle of Hastings, Lady Angela of Parr is defenseless. Dragged from her estate and taken to London, she finds herself at the mercy of a ruthless Norman king.

William, the new king of England, plans to repay his loyal knights by offering them marriage to the landed Saxon ladies. Angela has no love for the Normans, but when she meets Sir Damien de Anesi she is instantly smitten and puts her reputation in jeopardy by secretly meeting with the handsome young Norman knight.

Their love blossoms until King William betroths Angela to a depraved old man and Sir Damien is forced to choose between his loyalty to his liege and his love for Lady Angela.

Review:
Betrothed by the Enemy was a combination I love and feel is never often explored in books today. Based around the Saxon/ Norman conquer in England (1070) with elements of steamy romance and a fight.

Forced to succumb to her new Norman King, Saxon lady Angela of Parr becomes in a way an advocate for all the women of youth and the ability to produce an heir to force them into marriage with his knights.

I thought the concept would be a little predictable but taking it further back in history meant it really worked within the context of the story, every turn made each part of the short story enjoyable.

I loved how the author played on the emotions within this short novella by making the heroine jealous at certain points as I believe it added to the believability of the love story.

I would recommend this read for anyone looking for a quick, enjoyable read which will leave a smile when you put it down.

She joins a gym run by self-made millionaire and personal trailer, Conner Bean. Conner thinks Mollie doesn't need to lose any weight, and is perfect the way she is. He plans to seduce the curvy Mollie by giving her his own special training sessions in passion and desire.

Soon Mollie is enjoying a no-holds-barred love affair with the vibrant and skilled Conner. But self-esteem issues on her part, as well as her unresolved feelings for Juan-Carlos, cause her to second guess Conner's motives. Conner will stop at nothing until he claims Mollie's heart for his own.

Review:
Molly McGree is trying to seduce one of her male best friends, Juan-Carlos. Unfortunately she believes the reason she’s been unsuccessful is down to her large curved figure. She goes to the gym on a mission to drop some weight and get her seduction underway. Enters Conner Beam and then this story really picks up the heat.

KT Grant creates two characters that are so loveable you want to know what happens next in their relationship. The love scenes are smoking hot and enhance their attraction for each other. If you like possessive men then read till the end as Conner shows he maybe younger than his woman but he will fight for her.

For the Love of Molly was a wonderful, quick and sensual read anyone will enjoy. It has a bigger woman, by bigger I mean a woman with curves and for me I love reading stories where the unexpected happen. Overall, a hot keeper for me.

Gloria has accepted her life living on the streets. One cold Thanksgiving Day, she decides to visit a homeless shelter for a shower, a hot meal and a warm bed.

Jonathan is rich beyond his wildest dreams, but his life is unfulfilled, so he volunteers his time at a homeless shelter during Thanksgiving.

When Jonathan and Gloria meet, both their lives are forever changed, by hope and by love.

Review:
Thanksgiving feast was an emotional packed story, quick to read and has some steamy sex mixed in with it.

I thought the beginning part was awful but the ways the reader used the loss to show how some people end up on the streets, eye opening. Gloria and her situation were really touching, you wanted something to come out good from her situation and because of this you will stick to reading the whole thing.

The reason it got one less, star, was because of how fast it moved and the quickness of the romance, I felt it needed a little more time to develop. Other than that I thought it was a quick but lovely read that will certainly get you in the Holiday spirit.

Adam realizes that he runs the risk of losing his lover, Jace, if he won’t give Jace the same physical pleasure that Jace gives him. But sometimes practicing blowjob techniques is just awkward. How far is Adam willing to go to ensure that his stubborn pride doesn’t chase away the one he loves?

Review:
Man love? But who's the man and who's the woman in these relationships? Does it really matter?

Lowe touches base on this in Recipocity but neglects to build a relationship in the short story. While the idea of practicing how to perfect a blow job on a man is describes, I felt Lowe needed a little more plot and connection with the characters. It was a fast-paced novel, only 14 pages long, but the depth of the reader losing his or herself in the novel was missing. While the premise of the story was there, I feel more was necessary to make this an enjoyable read.

On a mission to lose her virginity before her thirtieth birthday on Christmas Day, Mandy Lockeheart plans to seduce the only man she’s ever loved; her brother’s best friend, firefighter Jackson Montgomery. With the sexy new body she’s worked hard to earn, she’s certain she can convince him to fulfill her fantasies.

When Mandy comes to him with her sexy proposal, Jackson can’t refuse her adorable seduction. Unfortunately, Mandy’s brother doesn’t want anyone playing around with his baby sister. Jackson must choose between respecting his friend’s wishes and making love to his perfect Christmas present.

Between Mandy’s occasionally poor body image and Jackson’s honor, the lovers must fight to realize their Christmas Fantasy.

Review:
Grant's The Christmas Fantasy brings to light the inevitable tale of self-conscious woman in need of love- her true love. In this fast-paced novel, Mandi has finally reached her goal but still has one more desire to conquer- Jackson.

Grant weaves a delightful tale in this short novel that once I started reading, I didn't stop until I finished it. I love the connection between Mandi and Jackson, the bond between best friends Mandi and Jessica and the ruthless twist of Mandi's older brother Chris. I would love to see Grant add a second novel about Jessica (need to find out if she finds her true love also).

This is the first novel I've read of Grant's but I can guarantee not the last. I found her writing style refreshing and loved the way she kept the story flowing. I applaud Grant's storytelling abilities and look forward to more of her work in the future.

Eighteen years earlier, Charma lost her destined soul mate. Convinced he must be dead, she kept her fears to herself so as not to destroy the morale of the Outsiders who already live with a shaky prophecy as their only guide.

Dr. Jason Randall is a man used to getting what he wants. There has never been a problem he couldn't out think or a situation he wasn't capable of handling.

Now they are both hunted by not one but two demons as they lead the slowly forming group of Outsiders out of the darkness and back into the light. The two strong souls will have to decide if prophecy alone is enough reason to stay together through insane odds...or if love is their true fate.

Review:

In this second installment of the Outsider’s series we meet Charma and Jason. After years of thinking that Jason is dead Charma finds him in a mental hospital and only she can save him. Yet she finds herself conflicted, while she loves Jason she is more than hurt by his refusal to believe in her and their love. Will Charma and Jason be able to survive the demons and find their happy ever after?

I enjoyed meeting Charma she is a strong woman who fights for what she thinks is right. She cares for all of the Outsiders and does what she can for them even at her own expense. While I liked Charma from the beginning Jason had to grow on me. He is a strong man who must learn about himself and what it means to be an Outsider. In the long run he shows what a man he can be and fights along side the others against the evil that threatens the world. Watching their relationship build was a nice read. I loved seeing both Charma and Jason each grow and find themselves. The fireworks start right from the beginning between the two and grow into so much more.

There is a lot going on in this book, not only do we get the romance between the main characters but we also get to see more from the rest of the Outsiders as well as their fight against the demons and Gabriel begins to find out much more about the man he used think of as family. This book is full of action and romance. The author does a wonderful job of intertwining the romance between Charma and Jason along with the fight against the demons. We also get to see the rest of the Outsiders as well as the addition of new ones. Fast paced with characters full of depth this story grabs your attention and pulls you into the magical world of the Outsiders and has you eagerly awaiting the next book.

She'd been nice - so Santa brought her heart's desire, a sexy new master! Aside from being broke, stalked and groped by Santa, Lissa Monroe wondered what would happen to her next? She never expected it would be love at first sight. Times are hard for Lissa, with her mother’s illness and her own financial problems. She took a job as Santa’s sexy helper in a department store. Her ex-boyfriend Rex is stalking her and leaving dirty messages on her answering machine. She thinks she can handle him, but things turn deadly causing her to have an accident.  Being a widowed single father isn’t easy. Derek Baxter knows this first hand, but when your son wants a new mom for Christmas what are you to do? It’s not like you can go out and find one or is it? Jack thinks so when he meets Lissa as he sits atop Santa’s lap. Outwardly Derek is the polite, shy widower and devoted father to his son Jack. In truth Derek is a wolf in sheep's clothing. He harbors a naughty secret that would surprise his friends and neighbors. Derek is a BDSM-Dominant with a playroom hidden in his basement loaded with BDSM toys. Derek's not looking for a relationship; at least he doesn’t think he is until Lissa and Jack have an instant bond, causing Derek to wonder if maybe his son’s instincts have found him a new Wife. Derek and Lissa embark on a whirlwind relationship which accelerates and leaves them both breathless. They both want the same thing—each other, but Lissa’s past hurts in the name of love hold her back. Derek is determined to break down her walls one way or another and win her heart.

Review:
Sansom weaves a very modest BDSM tale in Jack's Christmas Wish, not too hard core but touches base on many novice BDSM techniques and scenarios. Her writing style is one of pleasure to read, she keeps the story at a steady flow and the interesting characters and their blossoming relationship are all delightful.

The only nagging issue I had with the story line was Lissa's inability to love one minute then want the whole enchilada. Her wavering moods were hard to keep up with. From her stalker ex-boyfriend's abusive insinuations to how she was willing to be Derek's sub in his dungeon. Moments like this made me think, “how can a person go from abuse (whether mental or physical) to being at someone's mercy.” Perhaps her fear of true love was the main obstacle.

Aside from that topsy-turvy emotional debate, Sansom did an excellent job at developing the relationship between Derek's seven-year old son, Jack, and Lissa. The humorous antics and dialogue on the first page of the novel had me laugh a few times and want to slap the Naughty Santa. I love Sansom's writing and can guarantee more of her writings will be added to my TBR List once they are available.

North Pole, Maine has lost its Christmas spirit, and Nick Santos and his friends Kris and Rudy are doing their best to bring it back...

Having landed himself on Santa’s Naughty List, Nick Santos is given a chance at redemption. Granted, he’s tasked with some daunting challenges—pimping Santa’s ride and fixing the town’s Christmas bling—but playing Secret Santa comes with some unexpected perks, like finally catching the eye of his long-time crush, Vixen White.

Vixen has no idea what’s come over Nick this holiday season, but he’s bringing Christmas magic and miracles back to North Pole, and warming up her cold, wintry nights with his hot-and-hunky body and ultra-sexy pillow talk.

Is it all for show, or has the bad boy finally changed his wicked ways?

Review:
Fox creates a humorous tone with the holiday comparisons from Nick's coffee mug logo of “Got Sleigh?” to the festive names of streets, friends and business in this story. As I was reading Naughty St. Nick, I kept envisioning a quaint little town full of spirit, love and mischief (thanks to Nick).

Fox creates such lovable characters with brilliant personalities and backgrounds that whet my appetite for more. The way Nick, the bad boy, actually had a heart of gold and expressed his desires and longtime love for Vixen (AKA, Vix) was so heartwarming. And the way Vix relied on her recently deceased father for her creativity made me root for her even more to succeed. The underlying stories of each main characters added to the magical moments spilling into the main plot.

Fox's writing style scooped me into the story and when it ended my romance palate was satisfied as well as my need for more of her work.

I highly recommend Naughty St. Nick, and not just for romance readers of holiday representation but to all lovers of romance.

Aimee’s life changed one night, not long ago, when she staked a vampire to save another. Still reeling from that life changing night, Aimee decides to go home with Brenda, her best friend, for the holidays. She never expected Brenda’s brother, who comes off more like the Grinch then Santa, to have so many saint like qualities. Years spent alone, with no family or friends, plays heavy on her mind but Nic could possible be the one who changes it all.

Christmas has always been a sore spot for Nicolai. He’s the real saint Nic, but society has him all wrong. He’s no saint. In truth, he’s a vampire. Over the centuries, Nic has spent the holidays fighting off the ridicule from his younger brother and giving to those less fortune, not seeing his own worth. Until one mortal, brought home by his sister Brenda, changes the holiday and his outlook on life for eternity.

Is it possible that Nic has finally found his Mrs. Clause? When worlds meld, can Aimee find the happy ever after she once asked Santa for so many years ago, or is she doomed to spend forever lonely on Christmas?

Review:
Not one for vampires, (I know, I know- how is that possible? But it is.) Becraft does a sweet task of creating a believable paranormal story, without the glitter, shimmer and glow most vampires are known for, in this holiday book.

Becraft creates characters with minimal effort, while I wish more in-depth personalities and character backgrounds were developed, I truly found this fast paced novel a fresh glimpse into the holiday ambiance adding a twist of paranormal flair.

The connection between Aimee and Nic, not only physical but mental, increases the favorable effect the story line played on me. Not sure why, but holiday romance stories always tug at the heartstrings and The Real Saint Nic is no exception.

If you're looking for a new view on the holiday scene, I highly recommend this novel. Many times self-published books are weak with plot but not in the case of The Real Saint Nic. The only recommendation I would have for Becraft, and every self-published author, is to have an extra set of eyes for proofreading. While a few grammatical errors were found, they did not take away from the main plot or storytelling.

Callie and the Hipsters by Giselle Renarde

When Callie’s husband leaves her for a younger woman, she drives all the way out to the summerhouse only to find it's been taken over by hipsters--twenty-somethings who wear plaid and listen to indie rock and eat nothing but raw broccoli. They're friends of her son, Dante, all queer and quirky students at the nearby university.

At first, Callie's irritated that her son has thrown a party in her haven of relaxation, but when she and a bottle of Kahlua stumble upon two young men gettin' it on in her bed her annoyance morphs into arousal. The drink and the day's multitude of disappointments encourage her to join Vish and Evan, pansexual and polyamorous young men who are more than happy to welcome a vibrant older woman into their bed. How will they feel about inviting Callie into their lives?

Review:
Callie and the Hipsters started out with a perfect premise. Mom goes to hide at the family cabin and lick her wounds from a marriage breakdown. She finds her mid-twenties son's friends having a party, son is no where to be found immediately. Hmm... lovin' it so far. Mom comes across two young gentleman in the midst of a sexual moment...mom watches. I'm into it.

But then the plot takes a turn. No connection is there. Mom, Vish and Ethan have a menage. It's hotter than hot but no connection...yet. As the story unravels, amongst the master bedroom sheets, Renarde makes the connection...whew! While the story had a tad bit unbelievable start, Renarde saves the day. Her writing is full of hot passion, vivid images and great dialogue.

I do recommend Callie and the Hipsters to lovers of erotic romance. This fast-paced read has the elements to satisfy all levels of heat.

Afryca Leigh spent her entire adult life living and thinking IT. When she wasn’t at work fixing and tweaking computer tech, she was at home playing it. Life was good. That was, until she realized there was more to the guy next door, the best buddy who she’d known almost her entire life. Now she wants more. Her thoughts during the day and dreams at night are filled with images of Simon Ellery doing things to her she never thought possible. But dreams are just that… dreams. She knows he doesn’t see her the same way and no way is she stepping over the line of friendship. After all, she tries to convince herself, she’d rather have a good friend. Who’s she fooling?

Simon Ellery kept his secrets just that… secret. No one knew the true man hidden behind the glasses and the cocky smile. But, Afryca Leigh is stirring things in him he thought she shouldn’t. After all she was the girl next door, a friend for as long as he could remember. What her quietly simple voice did to him was impossible to put words to it. It was dangerous. And this time it’s more than plain old lust. But will she accept him for who he is, every exciting secret? Will she accept he touch of his hands and the flick of his tongue or will his secrets run her away.

Reader Alert! : Afryca didn’t know entering the Shadow Box would send her secret desires into a whirlwind of sexual pleasure. The one man she’s dreamt about has spiraled her into a glorious, tantalizing awareness she didn’t think possible. Beware. When reading this story make sure you have two things available. 1. A tall ice cold glass of water and two a change of under ware because you will definitely overheat in the best way.

To My Readers: One day when I got to work one of my co-workers walked in with an abrasion on her forehead. I immediately started joking her about using a pillow under her face the next time. She immediately blushed a bright red, which she always did when anything sexy or sensual came into the subject. She immediately told me that she fell out of bed the night before, actually giving herself a concussion from hitting her head on the dresser. After I made sure she was okay, I broke out in giddy laughter. I didn’t care what she told me, the story that popped in my head was the Shadow Box. I’ve had some really vivid dreams, myself, as any red blooded woman has. So this brought on the birth of my story. What a wonderful mix, a sexually healthy female who’s had the hots for her best friend for years. Something has to give

Review:
Ke has a great premise started here with Afryca and Simon's mutual love interest but the plot becomes too familiar as Afryca spots Simon, who works a second job at an exclusive adult club, when she visits the club over two hours away from her home. The final twist having Simon waiting for her in her very apartment was a nice ending, one I was not expecting.

Ke's writing style is unique and I love how she develops the characters individually. They have a history that is spelled out and believable. Ke uses very descriptive details throughout the entire novella and left me satisfied with her woven tale of two friends who wanted more from their relationship.

I would recommend this fast-paced read for lovers of erotic romance.

Join this cougar as she learns to accept her sexuality and finally learns what it means to love and how a younger man can melt the years away

Review:
Three little letters to describe the effect A Wild Older Woman had on me- WOW! From the light and mild BDSM to the unbelievable moments in the bedroom, Crescent creates a compelling and potent love/romance in this novella. Karen and Nick are perfectly matched with his desire and need for love while Karen's unleashed sexual tendencies are pure and very well written/described.

While I would have liked to have seen a full-fledged argument with Karen's ex-husband Derek ignite to add to the passion between Karen and Nick, Crescent portrayed his (Derek's personality as an jerk) flawlessly. The heat radiating from Karen and Nick is priceless from his first announcement in her office on page one to the moment of unadulterated carefree sex in her office at the end of the novella, Crescent knows how to turn on the heat and keep it hot.

Rebecca's had a horrible marriage. Though the divorce isn't finalized, she has put as much distance as possible between her husband and herself. She's forlornly alone but safe. As she spends yet another night in her grandparents' old farmhouse, strange unexplainable things begin to happen. Has Charles tracked her down or is it some unknown intruder setting her up? And what are these whispers that she's now hearing? Are they real or in her mind? While she tries to sort everything out as it happens, she has no idea how much is at stake. Not only is her life in jeopardy, but she may very well lose her heart and soul. But that is exactly what might have to happen for her to give in to The Dance.

Review:
Having never read a novel by McKinzie S. Heart, I was thrilled with my selection for this review. Heart's opening scene of a mystifying occurrence to heroine, Rebecca's moment of self-pleasure had me hooked immediately. From the unanswered questions to the way Heart develops the characters, the plot and the increasingly tension throughout this fast-paced read had me craving more.

Heart delivers a powerful punch with Rebecca's memories of her abusive marriage, from the dreams she has to the idea that Charles, the horrendous soon-to-be ex-spouse, is hunting her down. Chilling moments written and honed in to the understanding of realism.

Kudos to Heart for bringing such a well detailed story in such a small package. This novella had me enthralled from the first page and I look forward to the next Elemental Seduction novella by Heart.

What a lousy forty-second birthday Charlie Reynolds is having, the only gifts—a pair of cowboy boots she bought and cake by the town’s diner proprietor. An embarrassing moment with the new veterinarian tops the day off. Divorced and lonely, she soon discovers her libido isn’t dead. Lusting after the tall and handsome doctor can’t go anywhere. No way would he be interested in a plain, older woman ready to be put out to pasture. Or so she thinks.

Zach Callahan is heating up the ladies in the town of Brady Hills. He returned to his Texas roots from Virginia to start a new life taking over a thriving practice. The first day, he meets a gorgeous woman, and is instantly smitten—cowboy boots and all. He’s only interested in heating up the sheets with one woman in Texas, and she doesn’t want anything to do with him. Or so he thinks.

Temperatures rise as the heat between Charlie and Zach reaches the boiling point.

Review:
Someone turned up the heat in Texas and it is hotter than ever thanks to Cynthia Arsuaga's Texas Heat: Hot Flash novella- perfectly titled by the way. Sweet Charlie Reynolds not only celebrated her birthday but she also learns to love again thanks to the new younger doctor in town Zach Callahan.

Arsuaga interweaves a faultless love story with the heightened anticipation of love and sexual contact you can feel rising from page one. The passion and sexual charge Arsuaga develops between Charlie and Zach is pure and believable to a hilt. As you read the tale of cougar and cub, you'll find yourself smirking from their desires and fantasies.

Arsuaga's writing style of contemporary erotic romance is unmistakable throughout the story as she continues building the plot, tension and budding romance between the couple. I highly recommend this quick and fast-paced read to anyone looking for a night of romance or an afternoon delight.

Hank and Bill are looking to buy their first home together, a weekend cabin in the mountains. They enlist the help of their realtor, Mitch, but they're in for a surprise in what he shows them.

Mitch looks at this couple with interest and relives fond moments of his own relationship. It is only when he thinks that they are the appropriate people does he show them their perfect cabin, but it's not all it seems.

Review:
This is the first novella I have read of upcoming author Jonathan Welford and definitely NOT the last. Welford weaves a fabulous sweet love story between the two men, Hank and Bill, in The Cabin, although I wish more background into the men's lives was offered. The reader is welcomed into supporting character Mitch's life at a perfect pace and allowed the comfort of getting to know him. Very well crafted in my opinion.

The mystery of Mitch is never explained but leaving the reader's imagination to wonder a few questions, which I love. While no antagonist is visible, I don't believe one was necessary. The flippant secretary, Martha was an arrant touch to the ending of the story.

Welford is an author to watch in the near future and I applaud the sweet and sensual M/M connection in The Cabin. So many times a good read and romance is over-flooded with too much sex and Welford's beautifully crafted tale had just the precise amount of sexual affection to please the palate.

But if anyone suspects how much he wants to ravish her and endlessly love her, Andrew's lineage will undoubtedly be in peril

Review:
Historical novels have been hit and miss with me lately. I’ve read both mainstream and erotica historicals and up until now, I lost faith in them. The Arrival of Lily Curtis restored my faith and excitement in historical novels.

Elizabeth is not your typical historical heroine. She is feisty, educated and knows what she wants out of life. She doesn’t like the “society image” that she is expected to live. She wants to live her own life on her terms and not by someone else’s. She wants to marry for love, not for duty or money. Her parents have reluctantly agreed to an arrangement of Elizabeth working as a maid on an estate to earn her own money so that she can live free of society in Paris, France. What drew me to Elizabeth/Lily were her spirit and her commitment to be true to herself and no one else. Ms. Brimble wrote Elizabeth/Lily will such passion that she would be a girlfriend to have in your corner.

Andrew is not your typical historical hero, either. He is a man that knows that he marry for duty and to produce the heir apparent but wants to marry for love instead. Unfortunately, he made a promise to his father and he will not break it. What Andrew didn’t factor in was Lily. She tempts him on a different level all together. She’s the maid but he senses something more in her. Once he gets to know her as a person and not a maid, he is hooked.

Ms. Brimble’s story could be set in any setting and the story would still be there for us to enjoy. What makes The Arrival of Lily Curtis set apart from other historical novels is the world that is created is described with fluidity and constant that I felt like I was there with them. She doesn’t describe a scene in such detail that you skip the showing of the scene just to get to the dialogue. The dialogue is sharp, funny and emotional. The secondary characters in the book are a big part of the story but don’t distract from Lily and Andrew. They enhance the story and add depth to each scene that they are in with them. While the bedroom scenes are sensual, they are not over the top and very appropriate for the time period.

I was sorry that this book ended. I felt like Lily and Andrew’s story could go on forever. I highly recommend this book to anyone that has lost faith in the historical genre; it will be restore with The Arrival of Lily Curtis.

It was an office Christmas party filled with sexual tension. Gymnastics coach Grant Howard couldn’t keep his eyes off the newly-hired cheerleader coach. And sultry Teena Adams felt the same way about him. The “rah-rah-rahs” she felt were cheers of unbridled lust. From punch and cookies to sexual escapades on gym apparatus, you’ll never look at Christmas parties or a trampoline the same way again. It’s winner-take-all, when lovers are Going for Gold.

Review:
Going for Gold if a fantastic quick read, while I was reading I forgot how quick it was and when it ended I had to double check and make sure I had the right copy. My memories of the school gym were nothing like she painted in this story and I want to visit this place.

Kellie Kamryn makes you want to read more and to find out what happens to these budding love birds.

An excellent story and a great way to kicking off my Christmas reading.

But Riana waits for no man to save her, trusts no man-no matter how much he sets her body on fire. When Sir Bryant puts his life on the line for her, how will she stop his sacrifice?

Review:
A Knight of Passion was different then what I expected. I thought it would be a sweet historical romance that is very similar to the types being released today. I was so wrong. This is a story which main focal point is Riana, who describes herself as the Duchess’s whore.

From the moment she described herself as that I was hooked, Riana really draws you into her pain and desperation as she is not a whore of her own free will but more she took the role to protect and save her sister.

This story has some coarse language but it is based at a time when we were coarse in nature. A thoroughly enjoyable read and well worth the time it spends to read. You will not be disappointed.
